Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

1. Definitions

  • "We", "Us", "Our" refers to Moon Websites, a trading name of MOONNET LTD (company number 16661802, registered office Suite A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Norfolk, IP28 7DE).
  • "Client", "You" refers to the person or business purchasing services.
  • "Services" refers to all work provided, including websites, hosting, SEO, marketing, and communication systems.
  • "Project" refers to any one-off or initial build (e.g. website creation).
  • "Content" refers to text, images, media, and materials used within a project.
  • "Completion" means the project has been delivered in line with the agreed scope.

2. Agreement & Acceptance

By placing an order, making payment, or continuing to use our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms override any conflicting terms unless agreed in writing.

3. Services Overview

All services are provided as described within your selected package.

We reserve the right to modify, improve, or discontinue services at any time.

Third-party platforms (e.g. Google, Meta, hosting providers) are subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their actions or changes.

4. Monthly Plans, Cancel Any Time

Monthly, cancel any time: there is no minimum term and no exit fee. Your plan runs to the end of the month you have paid for.

Your plan starts on the date of your order and renews each month, billed in advance, until you cancel.

Some plans offer an optional discount if you choose to pay for 6 or 12 months in advance. Paying in advance is your choice, it is never required, and it is not a minimum term. When a prepaid period ends, your plan carries on month to month at the normal monthly price (or, if you chose yearly billing, renews for another year) unless you cancel before the next payment.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time by emailing contact@moonwebsites.co.uk or by any other written message to us. You do not need to give a reason and there is no notice period.

Your plan stays active to the end of the month (or prepaid period) you have already paid for, and nothing more is charged after that. There is no exit fee and no remaining balance to pay.

Fees for one-off work you ordered separately (for example a custom website build) and invoices that were already due before you cancelled are still payable.

6. Payments

Payment terms are outlined at checkout or in your invoice.

Monthly services are billed in advance.

Project balances are due upon completion.

We reserve the right to suspend services if payments are missed.

Any failed, reversed, or disputed payments may incur administrative fees.

7. Project Delivery & Completion

Projects will be delivered in line with the agreed scope of work.

"Completion" is defined as delivery of the agreed features — not subjective approval.

Delays caused by client inaction (e.g. not providing content) are not our responsibility.

8. Revisions Policy

Revisions are allocated based on your selected package.

A major revision includes structural or design changes (e.g. layout, new sections).

A minor revision includes small updates (e.g. text edits, images, styling).

Revision allowances reset monthly and do not roll over.

Additional revisions outside your allowance will be chargeable.

9. Scope of Work

Each package includes a defined scope of work.

Any work requested outside of this scope will be quoted and charged separately.

10. Ownership, Licensing & Assets

While your plan is active, you have a licence to use the website, designs, content and assets we provide as part of it. If you cancel, the licence ends when your plan ends.

Content you supply to us (your text, photos, logo and other material) always stays yours, and we will send you a copy on request, including after you cancel.

Full ownership of the files for a custom build passes to you when:

  • the one-off fee for that build has been paid in full, AND
  • there are no unpaid invoices

Our platform, software, templates and themes stay ours and are licensed to you only while your plan is active.

11. Domains

Domains may be registered and managed on your behalf via our platform or partners.

You retain the right to use the domain during the service period.

Domain transfer requests will be processed only when:

  • there are no unpaid invoices for the domain or your plan

You can ask to transfer your domain at any time, including when you cancel.

12. Hosting & Management

Hosting and maintenance are provided as part of your subscription where applicable.

Services will continue as long as your subscription remains active.

Suspension or cancellation may result in website downtime or removal.

13. Communication Services (VoIP, SMS, Email)

Communication services are provided on a subscription basis.

Numbers, systems, and accounts may be dependent on third-party providers.

We cannot guarantee portability of certain numbers or services unless stated.

14. SEO & Marketing

We do not guarantee rankings, traffic levels, or specific results.

Performance depends on external factors outside of our control.

15. Liability

We are not liable for:

  • loss of income, revenue, or profit
  • indirect or consequential losses
  • third-party platform issues

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.

16. Downtime & Technical Issues

We aim for high reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Maintenance, updates, or external issues may cause temporary downtime.

17. Content Responsibility

The client is responsible for ensuring all content provided complies with copyright and legal requirements.

If we create content on your behalf, it is done in good faith, but final responsibility remains with the client.

18. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of digital services, payments are generally non-refundable once work has commenced.

Refunds may be considered only where we fail to deliver the agreed service.

19. Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services if:

  • payments are overdue
  • terms are breached
  • abusive or unreasonable behaviour occurs

20. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the latest version.

21. Connected Social Accounts & Paid Ads

You can connect your own Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts and Meta ad accounts to Moon HQ. You must be allowed to manage each account you connect, and you must follow Meta's terms and policies when you use them through Moon HQ.

We only post, reply or change your ads when you (or someone you added to your business) asks for it, schedules it, or switches on an automatic feature such as auto-replies. You are responsible for what is posted and sent from your accounts.

You can disconnect any account at any time in Moon HQ, or remove our app in Facebook. Our Privacy Policy (section 17) and data deletion instructions explain what data we use and how to delete it.

Paid ads. Ads you create in Moon HQ are made paused. Nothing is spent until you tap Start spending, and you can pause or stop them at any time. Meta charges the ad spend to your ad account under Meta's own terms. Some ad features carry a Moon Websites fee of up to 3% of the ad spend (unless we agree a different rate with you in writing). When a feature charges a fee, the screen tells you before you start, and no fee is charged where none is shown. Meta, not us, decides whether an ad is approved and how it is delivered, and we do not guarantee results.

Your data in connected accounts. For the personal data in your connected accounts (for example the people who message or comment on your Page), you are the controller and we are your processor. We will:

  • use it only to provide Moon HQ to you, on your instructions, and keep it separate from other businesses' data
  • keep it confidential and secure, and make sure our staff and the providers we use for it are bound to do the same
  • help you answer requests from people about their data
  • tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting it
  • use only the providers listed in our Privacy Policy to process it, tell you before we add or replace one, and let you object (if you do, you can disconnect the account or end the service)
  • stop using it when you disconnect the account or our service to you ends, and then delete it or give you a copy, as you choose, except what the law requires us to keep
  • give you the information you reasonably need to show that these terms are met, and allow audits or checks you reasonably ask for, with reasonable notice
